About: From the lead designer of Civilization IV comes a new kind of strategy game: Offworld
Trading Company
, an economic strategy game.

Mars has been colonized and has invited you to lend a hand to make sure the new colony has a
shot at success. But you're not the only one that's been invited, other business rivals are here as
well and they have no qualms about playing dirty to gain the choicest territories on the Martian
surface and driving their competitors out of business.

Venture to Mars to Earn Your Fortune

With space travel becoming a reality and the easy-to-reach resources on Earth dwindling, hopeful
people seeking their fortune are rushing to the next great frontier: Mars. Rekindle humanity’s
adventurous spirit by leaving Earth behind and make a new name for yourself as a titan of industry
on the red planet.

Discover the Origin of the Major Martian Businesses
Determine the fate of the Martian colonization effort in the dynamic single-player campaign mode.
Multiple types of CEOs, each with unique traits and abilities, deliver many hours of discovery into
their motivations and how they intend to dominate the future of Mars.

Experience New Adventure in Multiplayer
Turn your friends into frenemies! With a robust and exciting multiplayer mode that can support up
to eight players, no two games of Offworld Trading Company are the same! The market fluctuates
depending on which of the four starting corporations you and your opponents choose and what
resources you accumulate. Strategy is key, and tenuous alliances between rivals are easily broken
when the opportunity arises.

Control the Market before your Competition Controls You
In Offworld Trading Company, market forces are your weapons, not guns or bombs. The real-time
player driven market is your sword and your shield here. In order to win, you will need to make
tough choices on what resources to acquire, what goods to build and sell, how to interact with the
planet's thriving underworld, and what stocks to acquire and when. With over a dozen different
resources available and a constantly changing market economy, no two paths of victory are alike --
each game holds a different “key” to dominating your competition.

► About
The largest asteroid in the belt has finally chartered its first colony and there’s money to be made!
Humanity proved that we could thrive on Mars… but, now we need to learn how to survive on a
dead rock. Enjoy the brand new scenery of Ceres while mining for Uranium, a resource unique to
the landscape of the frozen asteroid. Use it to power the new Nuclear Power Plant building and
fuel your colony while you fight for dominance of the stock market once again!

● New Location: Ceres - The largest asteroid in the asteroid belt, Ceres presents great challenges to
colonization with its vast spans of ice and rock. Enjoy some new scenery as you crush your
competition to remain on top of the stock market.
● New Resource: Uranium - Only available on Ceres, this mineable resource provides power to Power
Plants and is just one more way to manipulate the stock market in your favor.
● New Building: Nuclear Power Plant - The new Power Plant is an excellent source of energy for your
colony and can be built on any tile. This building is powered by Uranium and is only available on Ceres.
● New Patent: Liquid Batteries - This new patent could be critical to the success of your colony on
Ceres. Liquid Batteries will allow you to keep your Solar Condenser running no matter what time of
the day it is, collecting valuable carbon, oxygen, and water so you can keep your operations running
smoothly.
● New Challenge: Depleting Resources - On Ceres, resources deplete as they are used. Over time, your
plots will start to decrease and you will need to be on the lookout for new resource points to mine
since even the best of them won’t last forever.

► About
If you thought being the CEO of a company and maintaining a monopoly on Mars was hard work
before, get ready to double down with a bunch of new campaign enhancements in the Patron and
the Patriot! With two new characters joining the fray, new story-driven content, new game modes,
and more, this DLC takes the single player experience and adds hours of additional entertainment
and content to explore.

New CEO: Dr. Mikhail Nekrasov - Dr. Nekrasov holds the patent for Transparent Aluminum, which
permits him to substitute aluminum for glass in construction. Since he is an independent developer,
he can construct any HQ type he wishes at the start of a game.

New CEO: Manuel Valencia - Manuel has excellent relations with former clients and, as a result, is
able to maintain a strong bond rating and pay only half the cost for financing short term debts. With his
Core Sampling division, Manuel has access to one Core Sample perk per level of his local Headquarters.

New Colony Classes - Different colonies have different needs. Colonies in the campaign can
specialize in one economic area, which alters the stock market in various ways. Try to keep up, or
riskfalling behind your competition!

Choose your Campaign Length - “Perks” are at the core of Offworld Trading Company’s campaign.
The number of games played in a tournament affects how your perks progress, which can change how
you choose to strategize as you play. To offer more variety, the campaign tournament can now last for
4, 7, or 10 games.

New Campaign Feature: Wholesale Orders - Not all colonies want you to build habitats and work
modules for them! This game mode is more challenging because the colonies could request any variety
of commodity types. As the game goes on, the order sizes increase, and the resource the colony
demands could be different every time! This means you’ll need to keep an eye on costs and watch
your economy as you try to meet the demand.

New Campaign Feature: Colony Build - Pay attention to the colony classes in your game! It may
affect what modules are available to construct, which will mean you need to provide different
resources based on their needs. The more versatile your company is, the easier it will be for you
to keep up with changing demands.

New Story-Driven Campaigns - Experience six interactive short stories about life on Mars,
available through playing the new characters on each different length of campaign

New Achievements - Play through the new campaigns and explore all of the different
characters to unlock new achievements (requires GOG Galaxy client)!

► About
If you thought turning a profit on Mars was tough, just wait until you land on Jupiter’s volcanic moon,
Io. With resources that deplete over time creating fierce competition, you will have to adapt to the new
environment faster than your opponents do in order to survive. Life support is so strenuous on Io that Mars
will look like a paradise in comparison!

Two brand new factions have joined the corporate world on Io where the new resource system offers a
steep learning curve. There are plenty of new sources for power, but some of humanity’s basic essentials
- like water - don’t exist. In order to thrive on Io, you will need to steer yourself away from everything you
thought you knew about Mars and re-order your building priorities to outshine your competitors.

If community competition is your thing, take the new 1000 Map Challenge. Earn your place on the
leaderboards and see how many maps you can conquer before the harsh environments of space take their
toll on you.

With a brand new campaign, locations, factions, patents, resources, and much more, Jupiter’s Forge is a
must-have addition for your Offworld Trading Company experience.

New location - Io
Explore Jupiter’s volcanic and volatile moon where energy is plentiful, but life support is so difficult that
it makes Mars look like a paradise.

New resource system
On Io, production works a little differently. There are plenty of new sources of power, but some of your
basic human needs - like water - simply don’t exist. This means that the priorities for what you build
and harvest on Io are vastly different from Mars or Ceres. New resources like basalt exist only on Io and
will allow you to build new structures and adapt to the lack of other materials.

New Faction -The Penrose Collective
Highly adaptable and influential, the Penrose Collective intends to thrive on the harsh environment of Io.
With the ability to found 2 headquarters at the start of the game (and upgrade them simultaneously),
they are able to spread their operations across an already depleted environment in order to afford them
easier access to more resources. Their claim swapping ability also allows them to trade in useless plots
of land at any time during the game in order to claim something else that will help their cause. Because
of the versatility, they are also able to use silicon instead of steel for construction.

New Faction - The Diadem Trust
An elite business group with grand visions, the Diadem Trust is ready to crush any other corporation
that gets in its way. All of their advanced buildings - Hacker Arrays, Patent Labs, Pleasure Domes,
Optimization centers - are top of the line and can push out just a little bit more than their competition.
Hacker Arrays can create shortages and surpluses at the same time, Pleasure Domes produce double
the revenue, optimization centers grant a bonus claim, and the patent race means absolutely nothing to
them - they can purchase a patent at any time, regardless of whether or not another player already
controls it. It’s all legal, they assure you - their lawyers challenge you to read the fine print.

New Infinite Map Challenge
Compete against the rest of the community in this unique challenge. Each map evolves, becoming more
difficult than the last - can you find your way onto the leaderboards for each one? Push yourself past
the competition and see how many maps you can conquer before the harsh environments of space get
the better of you.

New Campaign
Show that you have what it takes to build your business on the harsh environment of Io. Snag your
resources before your adversaries do and prove to everyone that money talks: you made it on Mars,
and you can make it here on Io too.

Don’t miss an opportunity for opulent self-expression! Conspicuous Consumption dresses up Offworld’s
five advanced buildings with custom particles and audio. Give your game some classic sci-fi flare with
retro-styled versions, or have a good laugh with the goofy fun time versions. Maybe your newfound
extravagance will distract your opponent long enough for you to establish an offworld monopoly right
under their noses! ...Okay, perhaps not, but at least you’ll look awesome while you try.

The “Conspicuous Consumption” DLC comes with two variants for each of the five advanced buildings:

● Hacker Array: Well, it ain’t Vegas, but it’ll have to do. Take your chances and make luck your mistress
while styling the goofy roulette version, or embrace the retro feel with an old-style radio tower.
● Offworld Market: The colors, Duke, the colors! Launch your goods offworld and hope the popsicle
rocket doesn’t melt, or change to a sleek retro rocket to make your opponents envious of your sweet
ride.
● Optimization Center: Careful not to burst anyone’s bubble while you optimize your resources in the silly
bubble machine version, or give your opponents a little shock with the retro-styled tesla coil.
● Patent Lab: Research some science inside a giant Rubik’s Cube (we DARE you not to get distracted trying
to match the sides!), or get ahead of your opponents in a building that looks suspiciously like the robot’s
head from “Forbidden Planet.”
● Pleasure Dome: Disco Inferno, baby! Tear up the dance floor inside a giant disco ball, or leave your
platform shoes at home and enjoy some space burgers at a retro-styled galactic diner. Just...don’t order
the special.

► About
Before business on Mars started booming, the first pioneers from Earth had just one objective: survive.
Play through over a dozen challenging scenarios and overcome the struggles of settling on Mars by aiding
the growing colonies and ensuring their healthy futures. In this DLC, the stock market and other business
owners aren’t your enemies - instead, you’re fighting against Mars itself.

Limited Supply takes a core rule of Offworld Trading Company - buy whatever you want, whenever you
want it (as long as you have the cash) - and turns it on its head. Each scenario has a different ruleset and
restricts what resources you’re allowed to buy and sell, meaning that you’ll have to constantly reevaluate
how to thrive in each new location if you want to survive.

In normal games, you need to build up your business and turn a profit in order to buy out your
competition. Now, you’ll need to meet a list of objectives set by the colony in order to win and proceed
to the next scenario. As you progress, the tech you’ll have access to becomes more advanced - but, so do
the colony’s requests!

The Limited Supply DLC is a whole new way to experience Offworld Trading Company. Each scenario is a
puzzle to be solved rather than a head-to-head showdown against fellow businesses. Can you ensure the
future of Mars and become a hero to the colonies?

● Over a dozen scenarios with unique rule sets and locations
● A constantly changing environment that provides new challenges and objectives
● Evolving technologies and challenges
● Overcome the initial challenges of settling colonies on Mars
● A new way to experience the game through puzzles instead of head-to-head competition

Patch 1.20.20465 (19 April 2018)
General
Tutorials have been updated
Players can now see their Masquerade name while when playing in Masquerade mode
Some colony classes have had their resource price minimums lowered. In the Daily Challenge mode the best move was sometimes just throwing down a large number of mines or quarries on an easy to access resource, and because the resource would never drop below $30 a player could just sell that one resource until they had won. This change to address that situation and encourage more interesting strategies.
Increased precision of the server game timer.
Balance
As expressed by the community recently, extra claims can be extremely powerful. In fact, this reward for founding late was so strong that many players would only found without it in the most dire of circumstances. Early claims are being adjusted so that in games of 4 players or less everyone will receive an extra claim eventually.
Last four players to found now all receive a free claim (last to found on HQ2, then HQ3, HQ4, HQ5) regardless of number of players in the game
Several small changes are being made to Black Market items to add consistency and bring costs in line with the power each item brings. Spies and Holograms will now have a cooldown, preventing a player with an early lead from taking them all cheaply to get a significant advantage. Meanwhile, Return a Claim and Core Samples have had their cooldowns reduced to encourage their use.
Return a Claim Black Market item can now be purchased when in D Debt
Changed Black Market cooldown for Bribe a Claim to 90 seconds (up from 60)
Changed Black Market cooldown for Holograms, Spies, Return a Claim, and Core Sample to 30 seconds.

Hi vastyr,
Thanks VERY MUCH for your posts. Do you have any idea why this last installer is half the size of the previous one and requires half less space on the drive?

Hey. Any way I can get the patch to update from 1.9.14057 to 1.13.16271, so that I can then use the patch you already linked here? I don't find it anywhere and don't really want to download the whole game again :( (I downloaded it from another source.)

It's okay. I ended up downloading it again. Now I'm downloading the new patch. If it's isn't much to ask, maybe you could add a separate download for the latest DLC for those who already have the rest ^^ Cheers.
