This new way of marking games on GOG is killing me.
Please,what's the difference between "older" v2.0.0.5 and this "newer" v1.1 (10935) ?

Doderunderhill, I'm not 100%, but I believe it's cloud save option if using GOG Galaxy.

darkballz, no no no.. GOG Galaxy is an online client similar to steam, if you do not own the game you cannot play online.
Since you don't own the game GOG Galaxy is asking you to buy it or use a code to redeem it with your GOG account.

darkballz, ask gog, they update it for their clients.
give thanks that the single player does not require online connection, at least
you can try the game and if you like it and want to play mp you can buy it.

EDIT: Not sure (not tried it myself) but you may play mp via LAN
(well you can on the steam version, may be gog's too), more info at

LucasArts and GOG mess with game versions when they mess with installers. Bring ones, restore back, bring another one, make alternative for XP... more-more-more updated and rollbacks. Evem more than Galaxy build updates. Now current version of course isnt MP compatible cause you need Galaxy (GOG did update offline installers each time cause now main versions is Galaxy builds and offline must match them in version+build numbers and filenames too - u can install offlne and add it to galaxy after). And more important current offline version not updated to 1.1 - game use 1.0 version with 1.1 exe.

For offline currently must use only 2.0.0.5 installer - that the latest one with 1.1 patch, XP compatibility and not broke game files structure.
http://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1955721#p1955721
main post provide link to version 17906.
Current version is rollback to
setup_star_wars_battlefront_ii_1.1_(10935).exe (previous to 17906 and switched few times)
and they both "broken 1.1" and not truly 1.1.

There far more mess since last updates on GOG. Now both Galaxy and Steam got updates - but separate of each other. Lurk for rb sites, steam events game forum, steameb patches page for game etc.
Steam got update and revert it back in next day. There is changelog saved by steamdb. While update thread overahelmed with lamers whiners asking to rever it in favor of their modifications (sic!).
Most likely MP got broken since Steam got update without Galaxy getting it. But no one report it cause whiners came and overwhelm steam forum.

And whatbthe point. GOG-Galaxy also get unrelated to Steam eilent update and revert it. Even less details known. This build is not available for public. And while Steam 50/50 give chance to download previous build by console/console tool, there is no way to obtain this build you ask from Galaxy. And it was NOT THE same as on Steam. Year difference between.

There is kany else silent updates and reverts. GOGDB keep all builds happen to public. Eome appear as real mistake from private branch. Eome silently updated and same silently reverted. There is proper update but mistaken hide to public. That happen too.

GOGDB keep history when build appear in public. And didnt track when hided to private branch. If you dont have gake and wonder which builds oof list are actually available right now - chefi builds links on game GOGDB details tab.

In any way. This rollbacks and this most recent rollbqck affect legit and online players only, only for Eteam and GOG-Galaxy with Galaxy and Steamworks(redirect to Galaxy give it Steam acfount details needed for auth).

For fustom multiplayer you need same version as for singleplayer. The real one 1.1. For GOG it was 2.0.0.5. Maaabe the setup file from 2017 mentioned in very first post. Currently downloaded offline installer have same name as 2017 but differ Digital signature and what important broken game version with mess of 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 versions. So either stay with offline MP-hotfix2 version or with 2.0.0.5. Both easy to find. Unlike some in between builds.

2.0.0.5 was one of the rollbacks/WinXP alternate installer and that was real 2.0.0.5 from 2016. 2017 are lost, as one of the reasons cause of current installer have same name.

Ofc no and no ways to have Galaxy+Steam multiplayer from any builds including taken from Galaxy and Steam.
Use GameRanger as main way or SWBFSpy as alternative. Both require 1DVD EU Retail with dvd-eu 1.1 patch (it have drm-free game exe while linked Launcher still with DRM).
