Mixing GOG and scene releases
Mixing GOG and scene releases
Is it possible to mix GOG and scene releases for games and their expansions? I have Dungeon Siege 2 on GOG but GOG does not sell the Broken World expansion, if I download the scene release for the expansion, would it work with the GOG release of the main game?

Thanks, once I get a copy of the expansion, I'll give those instructions a try and report back my findings.

If the game only checks the game files, it should work without problem. But there are probably games that require Windows registry entries.

Gog games can have differences with scene games, because some scene games are protected (steam, drm, etc,...) while gog games are "unprotected".
This can cause problems mixing files, but maybe you can make things works, it deserves a try
