*grumbles* F**K it would seem the later versions of DOS2DE REQUIRE Galaxy to be able to freaking boot. I would call this DRM of the highest order

For me this version runs without problems. From the launcher I click get started then skip. The play button appears.
Or I can run directly from exe. All I had to do was to allow network access which is normal for some games to run.
After giving network access the play button appears from the launcher right away.

Last uploaded version is 3.6.117.3735_(49863) so it impossible to use "patch_divinity_original_sin_2_3.6.69.4648(a)_(46471)_to_3.6.117.3735_prelauncherfix_(52198).exe: because we have a newer version installed...
can someone upload the proper patch from 3.6.117.3735 (49863) to 3.6.117.3735 prelauncherfix (52198)or a full latest version?

For anyone wondering if this game now has DRM, it does not.

Anyone who actually follows whats INSIDE the patches, version 3.6.117.3735 (September 2021) implemented iPad/Steam/GOG cross saves. This means that you can now continue your game on any device. So, of course this requires an internet connection check when you launch the game and of course it requires the game to require GOG launcher or Steam open when it launches so it can grab and synchronize the latest saves across devices before you get to the menu or load up a save.

It's not something dubious or piracy DRM. Now if you do not care for cross saves (as I would expect you wouldn't if you're downloading this game here) then just do not update to version 3.6.117.3735 or later because the game will always do an internet check now. Simple as that.

Thanks for the heads up, i gave up on gog years back when i struck DRM in some games i had bought to play with nephew on LAN, requiring internet is still
bull in my book, but not surprising, its a convenient excuse i guess
