Patch 2.2.4.3141 (07 June 2018)
We're delighted to let you know that The Blemmigan Gallivanter mascot is now available in Sunless Sea! It is very keen to meet you and cannot wait to explore the great, wide zee from a nest its formed out of your journal pages.
Back in February 2017, you all banded together to help us achieve our Kickstarter goal for Sunless Skies. After many cakes, correspondence sigils, and space shanty verses, we achieved the 25 Social Goal Reward: BLEMMIGANS!
This is not the only blemmigan either - the reward unlocked three blemmigans in total! Expect two more to surface in our other games: The Blemmigan Tourist (Fallen London
https://www.fallenlondon.com ) and the Blemmigan Voyager (Sunless Skies
https://www.gog.com/game/sunless_skies )
Besides this squishy addition, this update also includes:
Rectified typos
Bug fixes aplenty
We’ve also updated our Unity version and made some backend tech changes that’ll make things easier for us (such as being able to easily change the ad on the game’s title screen). If you’d like a more detailed description of the changes, check out our Patch Notes!

Pirate Poet and Cladery Heir available now!
As of today’s update, the Pirate Poet and Cladery Heir are available to all players of Sunless Sea as part of the base game, and free of charge!
We consulted with our Kickstarter backers before Christmas and they have graciously said that the more people can play all of the content, the better. Please thank them, their backing made this happen!

Patch 2.1.1.2968 (22 September 2016)
UI and Text Resizing
Sunless Sea was made in Unity 4, which had some limitations particularly around the way it handled text. As a pretty text-heavy game, we ended up with many players finding the game unplayable due to their screen resolution. Text was tiny or fuzzy. Not ideal!
Happily, in Unity 5 we’ve been able to do a lot more with the user interface, and have fixed the fuzzy/tiny text problems (with the help of everyone who opted into the Unity 5 beta - thanks!). Please enjoy fiddling with the size of your text and the gazetteer to your heart’s content.
Update (01 April 2016)
We've updated the Linux version of Sunless Sea.
This update provides some minor fixes and tweaks.

Another update hot on the heels of our Modding release. This update focuses on expanding the amount of files Modders can alter as well as introducing a new Account Management page and of a few outstanding bug fixes. Below are the details:-
Modding update: Players can now include the 'Constants' folder as part of their Mod, allowing them to adjust properties like Ship speed and Engine Power. (A big thanks to the community for reporting the lack of support with Constants folder).
Account Management: From the options menu players will now be able to sync with their account and view any 'Condiments' their account has. Condiments, tasty accompaniments found in Fallen London, or purchased as DLC.
Authenticate/Changing users: With the introduction of the Account Management page, players will now be able to Authenticate or 'Get New Stories' manually, as well as change accounts.
Fixed: Issue with the 'Edit Keybindings' page which caused the scroll bar to stop functioning.
Fixed: Legacy bug which allowed players to choose Officers or Weapons they no longer possessed.

Corvette added to the game, for Kickstarter Backers this ship will be Captained by the Pirate-Poet.
Patch 1.0.4.2119 (19th August 2015)
It is now much easier to mod Sunless Sea!
We've added a new directory called 'addon' to your game, which will give you a safe place to store modded files where they will not be overwritten by game updates.
Today's changes will also enable us to add DLC to Sunless Sea (beyond new stories). It's our first step toward preparing the core game for Zubmariner's arrival.
The Alarming Scholar will now correctly provide gifts to highly Antiquarian captains.
Kingeater Castle can now move you elsewhere, for a price.
The Venturer's Executor can now complete certain deals in the event of the Venturer's departure.
The Wretched Mog can be unleashed on hapless Rat Corsairs.
Various minor bugfixes.
