About: Set 50 years after the climactic events of the original Red Faction, Red Faction: Guerrilla allows
players to take the role of an insurgent fighter with the newly re-established Red Faction movement as
they battle for liberation from the oppressive Earth Defense Force. Red Faction: Guerrilla re-defines the
limits of destruction-based game-play with a huge open-world, fast-paced guerrilla-style combat, and true
physics-based destruction.

Key Features

Open World Guerrilla Warfare - You decide who, when, where and how to battle. Utilize guerrilla tactics,
improvised weaponry, and modified vehicles to lead insurgent attacks on EDF targets. Launch attacks
based on your own gameplay style, take on missions in any order you choose, or engage in destructive
activities to weaken the EDF's grip on Mars.

Strategic Destruction - Use destruction to your tactical advantage, setting ambushes or chain reaction
explosions to attack enemy strongholds and permanently modify the game environment. Leverage fully-
dynamic physics-based destruction to improvise on the fly: blow holes in a wall or floor to set an ambush
or escape, take out a staircase to stop your pursuers, or drive vehicles through blown out walls.

Evolving & Emergent Gameplay - Carve your path through an ever changing landscape as you improvise
your combat tactics - mixing gameplay styles, vehicles, weapons and explosives to defeat the EDF.

Epic Sci-Fi Setting - Explore the huge, unforgiving Martian landscape, from the desolate mining outpost
of Parker to the gleaming EDF capital city of Eos; then tear through the fully destructible open-world
environments swarming with EDF forces, Red Faction resistance fighters, and the downtrodden settlers
caught in the cross-fire.

Multiplayer Combat - There is no place to hide when you put your guerrilla warfare skills to the test in a
variety of highly destructive multiplayer combat modes.

Fixed a couple of leaderboard bugs
Fix: Button glyphs are properly updated when switching the input device in-game

After completing the game once*, players can now activate the "reset destruction" feature from the "load game" screen. This remains active for the duration of the session and repairs destroyed buildings and other objects within a certain distance from the player after entering a zone.
Bagman and Anarchy modes now have a minimum player requirement of 2 instead of 3.
Game now attempts to determine the best host at the start of a multiplayer match, potentially leading to less latency in multiplayer.
Added support for Discord rich presence, including "join" and "spectate" via Discord.
BETA: Enabled "gyro controls" setting in the controller options when playing with a Steam Controller. Note that this feature requires usage of the Steam beta client and that it's still in active development in the Steam client, which means that future updates to the Steam client could break it at any point.
Added support for Valve Anti-Cheat, making it easier to ban cheaters from multiplayer
Unlocked cheats* are now saved in the profile data and carried into new games, allowing you to use them from the very beginning.

Patch #3 (19 July 2018)
Fix: under certain conditions, players were able to kick other players in matchmaking.
Fix: spacing in kill messages was adjusted.
Fix: exiting a multiplayer match now properly counts as a loss.
Fix: player skill matchup function wasn't implemented correctly.
Fix: Hot-fixed hostages jumping out of cars.
Fix: fixed a few bugs in save game importer.
Added new "Hardcore" playlist - a playlist that was available in the original console versions for a short time where it was called "MLG Playlist"
Added support for NVIDIA HIGHLIGHTS. Requires a compatible NVIDIA graphics card. After the game has recorded a highlight, you can find the NVIDIA HIGHLIGHTS button in the pause menu and in the main menu.
Added a timeout when waiting for players to get ready at the start of a multiplayer match.
Added a new "find game" option to multiplayer which lets you search for games manually. Games are created by entering either of the matchmaking modes or "custom game with party".
Changed multiplayer distance filter to include more regions and thus more potential players.
Lowered the requirements for multiplayer unlocks and multiplayer hidden challenges to make them more realistically achievable with the reduced multiplayer activity of the remaster.
